Production & Sustainability

Production & sustainability

ThePrintGoods uses a made-to-order production model. Instead of producing large batches and trying to predict demand, items are printed after purchase through approved production partners.

Why made-to-order matters

  • It reduces unsold inventory because products are not printed before they are ordered.
  • It supports a wider catalogue without filling warehouses with unused stock.
  • It can reduce unnecessary long-distance shipping when regional fulfillment is available.

Regional fulfillment

Orders may be routed to production partners based on product availability, destination, and operational capacity. Where the network allows, this means the item can be produced closer to the customer instead of being shipped from a single warehouse.

What we can and cannot claim

We are transparent about the model: ThePrintGoods is not a fully local, vertically integrated apparel manufacturer. We use an international print-on-demand network. The sustainability advantage comes mainly from reduced overproduction and more efficient routing, not from pretending the supply chain is perfect.

Packaging and product choices

Packaging, blanks, and production methods vary by product and production partner. We continue to review product quality, customer feedback, and fulfillment performance when deciding what stays in the catalogue.
